Fiber art is for all! Textile Center is committed to creating a welcoming space for everyone in our community, where everyone is accepted, valued, and respected, while fostering a strong sense of belonging for all individuals.

Our center is unique in the Twin Cities as a third space to gather — a place of boundless creativity, a place to connect, find community with other artists and art appreciators, and a place to express ourselves through fiber art.

Our classrooms and staff offices are private spaces. Our center is free and open to the public – with spaces for gathering, learning, and making. For the time being, we have returned to a buzz-in system for our building entrances as we strive to keep our space safe and supportive of all who come to experience fiber art with us.

Textile Center will be closed this Friday, January 23, out of care for our team and in support of our community.

Nurturing a culture of wellbeing is a key pillar guiding our fiber arts organization. Our world is knitted, woven, stitched, quilted, and beaded together — connection is core to our field. Taking this day for community service and wellbeing helps us live out this value. (Click here to read our Strategic Plan.)

A national center for fiber art, Textile Center’s mission is to honor textile traditions, promote excellence and innovation, nurture appreciation, and inspire widespread participation in fiber art.
