Abdul Jabbar Khatri uses the centuries-old micro tie dye technique of Bandhani to create exquisite patterns and textures on fabric using natural dyes. Located in Bhuj, his enterprise SIDRcraft, which he started with his brother Abdullah over 20 years ago, supports over 200 women artists in the Kutch district.
Sufiyan Khatri is a 10th generation artisan who maintains his community’s tradition of Ajrakh block printing in combination with natural dyes. Marketed under the name SUFIYAN, the fabrics are created by artisans in the Ajrakhpur community using hand carved blocks, intricate in pattern and layered with rich color.
