Students will learn the science and artistry of contact printing with steam – AKA, eco printing on fabric! We’ll cover natural dye safety, choosing the right fabrics, how to scour and mordant fabrics for natural dyeing, and how to source dyestuffs for eco printing based on seasonal availability.
A materials fee of $20 is due to the instructor at the beginning of class and includes a notebook, fiber samples and all natural dye chemicals used in class.

Instructor Bio:
Chloe Russell Chang (she/her) is a fiber artist whose introduction to the world of textiles began while pursuing her BFA in illustration from MCAD in 2014. She has always been interested in the ways that tactile and illustrated art forms interact. Her work explores personal histories, dream work, and fiction through combinations of writing, illustration, and fiber craft.
