Kirsten Skoglund
Are you always looking for a place to stash your mittens, gloves, and keys by the door? Would you like to create your very own reed basket to hold these daily necessities in a pretty and functional way? This class is for you! Gain insight into basic basket-making techniques while weaving a simple glove basket. Learn how to lay out a basket bottom, shape the sides with start/stop weaving, add a very sturdy rim, and incorporate decorative reed for accent. Experience the joy of taking basic supplies from nature and making an elegant and functional work of art. Basket weaving requires hand strength; however, the instructor can help if this gets difficult for some students. All levels welcome.
