Alanna Stapleton

Do you enjoy working with textiles but don’t know how to articulate why the act of making is important to you? Would you like to develop a visual language to describe your artistic practice? This class is for you! Combine the DIY nature of self-published zines, the personal exploration of art journalling, and craft history by making your own illustrated book about textiles to share and trade. Learn about zine history and strategies for making your own. Write a personal textile art manifesto. Find community with other textile artists and fiber art enthusiasts. This class is open to all who work with textiles or fibers, regardless of your skill level. No previous illustration or book-making experience necessary.
