Peg Deppe
Move beyond geometric and symmetrical patterns to create an curving vine motif. Learn how to work with a “split” pack and to manage tension changes as weaving progresses. Gain insight into how to follow an intermediate difficulty pattern draft to set up the warp, follow the draft for turning changes, and manage changing tension in the weaving system. Students must have dexterity to pinch yarns for threading cards, and the ability to grip and turn the pack of cards repeatedly. This is an intermediate level class, open to students with previous experience tablet weaving or those who have taken Intro to Tablet Weaving.
Materials fee is $20, payable to instructor at the time of class.
