Learn to make colorful, textured yarn on a drop spindle using fiber waste which might otherwise be thrown away. Bring your own scrap yarn, thread, and fabric to shred and blend with wool, silk, and a pinch of sparkle on a drum carder and hand carders. Not a scrap-saver? No problem, Textile Center has plenty to share! All levels welcome. Experience spinning yarn is helpful but not necessary. Note: Spinning requires simultaneous use of both hands. Youth crafters age 12yrs+ may register with an accompanying adult (who is also registered for the class).
