About Textile Center’s Summer Camps:
Schedule:
Summer Camps are scheduled from Monday – Friday, during the date range indicated on each camp’s registration page. Camps run from 9 am – 4 pm daily.
NEW! Extended pickup time between 3 – 4 pm, daily.
Starting in 2026, Textile Center will offer extended pick-up time, included at no additional cost. Parents and caregivers are welcomed to pick their child up anytime that works for their schedule, between 3 pm and 4 pm. During this hour, campers will receive a light snack and structured wind-down time where they will have the opportunity to practice techniques learned during camp with support from Teaching Artists and Camp Assistants.
In the Classroom:
Textile Center’s Teaching Artists and Classroom Assistants are working artists and experienced craftspeople who are skilled in translating complex techniques into activities that are age-appropriate and interesting to children and teens. To ensure a high-quality experience for campers, Textile Center’s Summer Camps operate at a 1:6 adult to child ratio, with a classroom maximum of 12 campers.
All supplies, tools, and materials are provided for your child to work with during camp. Campers are welcome to bring in their own additional personal-use tools and supplies as long as they are well-labeled and in a personal container or bag.
Meals and Snacks:
Textile Center’s Summer Camp schedule includes a snack break and a lunch break. During snack breaks, Textile Center provides complimentary snacks options which include a granola bar, individually packaged baked chips or popcorn, and fruit juice or lemonade.
Children should bring a packed lunch from home each day, and a bottle for water. Meal and snack specifications can be made on the camp waiver form after your child has been registered.
If tuition is a barrier to participation, we invite you to fill out a scholarship request form: Youth Programs Scholarship Request. For any questions, please email Chloe Russell Chang, crussell@textilecentermn.org.
