Learn to make sustainable cloth versions diapers, menstrual underwear, baby bibs, and other items that require the use of stretchy, tricky-to-sew fabrics. Discuss different techniques and materials for making a variety of items using top-end Zorb absorbent and integrated PUL from Wazoodle fabrics, along with organic cotton jersey with antimicrobial sivler and latex-free fold-over elastic. Materials fee is $25 (for those interested in making period panties) or $30 (for those interested in making bibs), payable to the instructor at the time of class, and includes pattern and supplies to create two sets.

Instructor Bio:
Colleen Kahn (she/her) learned to sew as a child through 4-H and had the great luck to be mentored by dedicated and patient women. Colleen earned degrees in Clothing Design from College of St. Catherine and London College of Fashion. Over the years she completed additional training and gained expertise in bridal, men’s tailoring, millinery, costume making, alterations, dyeing, surface design, and more. Colleen has spent many years sewing custom wedding and formal wear in the Twin Cities. She founded Stitch Masters Sewing School in 2021
