Fix your favorite pair of jeans with invisible denim darning! Repair your worn, torn, and well-loved denim using nearly invisible machine darning techniques. Learn how to “sew with the grain” to hide stitches, color match thread, and open seams to best get at the area of repair. Students are invited to bring a pair of jeans, jacket, or other denim item to repair during class. All levels welcome.
Instructor Bio:
Lily Sevilla (she/her) is an experienced mender who specializes in zipper repair and darning. She has repaired thousands of items of clothing and gear through her work with the Repair Lair and ReUse Minnesota. Lily finds repair to be both creative outlet and rewarding practice that keep loved items in use.
