Kim Hondel (Otsego, Minnesota) loves to do a variety of artwork, but hand stitching and mixed media art are her favorites. Her mother taught her to embroidery at a young age in an attempt to teach her patience. It seemed to work because she continues to stitch today; she finds it therapeutic and relaxing. Mixed media art with an emphasis on paper and fabric combined (as well as stitching on both!) entered her life 20 years ago and has led her to take some courses to expand on techniques related to this type of art.
