In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn foundational wet-felting techniques, including how to create pockets, build pre-felts, and sculpt layered forms. Students will explore how wool behaves through agitation, resist methods, and controlled shaping while working toward a playful, functional project: a felted koi pond snuffle mat designed to enrich a cat’s sensory environment. By the end of the session, students will understand key felting skills, experiment with color blending and surface design, and leave with a completed snuffle mat ready for feline investigation. The workshop emphasizes material literacy, creative problem-solving, and the joy of transforming loose fiber into a durable, interactive textile.
