Embellish or mend your favorite piece of clothing with a customized needle-felted patch! This eco-friendly technique makes use of all natural materials and can help hide repairs or be used to add flair to any fabric. Blend, draw, and design using humankind’s oldest fiber process. Learn to apply basic needle felting techniques to a canvas backing and how to turn fluffy wool into painterly fabric using friction!
Materials fee is $20, payable to instructor at the time of class.

Instructor Bio:
Kaylyn Gerenz (she/her) is an educator and artist in St. Paul, MN, who started needle felting over a decade ago. She uses fiber as a main element in her professional artwork to communicate the urgency to document memories and history, and continues to explore the idea of flesh and fabric as evocative containers. She recently received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she taught a visual culture course for two years. kaylyngerenz.com
