Kaylyn Gerenz

Create a felted version of your cat or dog in this fun, family-focused class. Learn to felt spheres, cylinders, and free form shapes; then fuse them together to make your own fuzzy pet! Open to youth, ages 9 to 15 yrs old, with an accompanying adult.

Material fee is $5 per participant, payable to instructor at the time of class, and covers all supplies needed for this class.


Instructor Bio:

Kaylyn Gerenz (she/her) is an educator and artist in St. Paul, MN, who started needle felting over a decade ago. She uses fiber as a main element in her professional artwork to communicate the urgency to document memories and history, and continues to explore the idea of flesh and fabric as evocative containers. She recently received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she taught a visual culture course for two years. kaylyngerenz.com
