Dip into the wonderful world of indigo! Learn how to make an organic indigo vat, naturally dye textiles, and work with a handful of surface design techniques including ombré, shibori, and over-dyeing stained fabric. Participants will leave with a set of 4 indigo-dyed natural fiber cloth napkins and the confidence to explore indigo dyeing further in their next fiber art project. All levels welcome.
Materials fee is $20, payable to the instructor at the start of class and includes all supplies needed for the class.

Instructor Bio:
Annabella Sardelis (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose working mediums include calligraphy, natural dyes, and textiles. In 2013 she founded INDIGO & SNOW, an atelier dedicated to sustainable design in the Twin Cities. Annabella’s focus, aesthetically, is on the creation of functional items and seeing the beauty in utility, specializing in hand-dyed and painted accessories, apparel and décor. She exhibits nationally and her work has been featured by the NYT, ELLE, and Apartment Therapy among others.
