Turn your kitchen waste into a kaleidoscope of color! Learn to dye with botanical items traditionally slated for the trash or compost, including avocado peels and pits, onion skins, mushy berries, carrot tops, brewed coffee grinds, used tea bags, spinach ends, red cabbage peels, and more! Learn bundle dyeing and steaming techniques to extract pigments from food waste, and create a colorful bandana in this special Dye Lab-focused Craft Night.

Craft Night is a monthly social gathering for crafters of all levels to come together in a fun, welcoming space to work on the Craft Night project. Textile Center will provide written instructions and demonstrations for the Craft Night project; however, for more intensive instruction or one-on-one support, please join one of our core adult classes or intergenerational classes.
