Celebrate Pride with Textile Center during this special DIY (Dye It Yourself) Craft Night! Hand-paint a mini skein of yarn with acid dyes using the direct application method. Draw inspiration from the Pride Flag of your choice or create a completely new color combination!

You’ll have access to all the tools and materials you need to create one DIY mini-skein of worsted weight wool yarn. Each skein weighs about 10 grams, and measures about 20 yards. Attendees may purchase additional mini skeins to dye in Textile Center’s artisan shop during Craft Night.

*Acid-dyed fibers require one hour to steam-set, and must be cooled and rinsed before they can be taken home. Event attendees must return at a later date to pick up their DIY Pride Yarn skeins. Instructions for fiber pick up will be provided during the event, and via email.

Craft Night is a monthly social gathering for crafters of all levels to come together in a fun, welcoming space to work on the Craft Night project. Textile Center will provide written instructions and demonstrations for the Craft Night project; however, for more intensive instruction or one-on-one support, please join one of our core adult classes or intergenerational classes.
