How do you combine colors in your work? Is your style dynamic, subtle, harmonious, or edgy? What are hues, chroma, value, saturation, tones, tints, and shades–and how do these aspects affect the way we perceive color? Color theory is a body of practical guidance that creates a logical structure for color, including everything from color mixing and the visual effects of specific color combinations to the relationships we have with color. Explore the three basic categories of color theory: the color wheel, color harmony, and the context of how colors are used.
