These funny and heartfelt pieces exist at the intersection of self-care, sarcastic memes, and queer joy. Embroidered on linen with handstitched felt backings, you can suspend the embroidery hoop frame at home or at work as a reminder to be present and to enjoy a laugh.
Cat (they/them) is a self-taught embroidery artist whose work falls at the intersection of self-care, sarcastic memes, and queer joy (a strange and wonderful intersection!) Their first foray into fiber arts began with store-bought counted cross-stitch patterns in their teens, and eventually blossomed into making custom aerial embroidery landscapes in the early pandemic (with many iterations in between). When Cat is not embroidering, you can find them at their day job as a librarian, or dabbling in one of their 10,000 other ADHD propelled crafty hobbies.
