Expand your sustainable sewing repertoire by adding Sashiko style stitching to your next mending project and create a Boro-inspired work of art. Boro is a Japanese word meaning “tattered” and refers to a worn or damaged piece of cloth or garment that has been strengthened and beautified using scrap fabric and Sashiko stitching. Learn more about the rich history of Boro and how to incorporate Sashiko and other related stitching techniques with both practical and creative results. Beginners welcome!

Materials fee is $15, payable to the instructor at the time of class.
