Explore the beauty of beadwork in this introductory workshop. Begin with a practice piece, focusing on peyote stitch, a foundational beadworking stitch. Learn how peyote stitch relates to brick stitch, and how to use both to create beadwork pieces. Produce a simple peyote bracelet with a button clasp. Beginners welcome.
Materials fee is $30, payable to the instructor at the time of class.

Instructor Bio:
Dawn Tomlinson (she/her/hers) is a Minnesota-based fiber artists. Beadwork has been part of her life since 1994. Her favorite style is freeform beadwork, which uses any and all beadwork techniques. Dawn was a Jerome Project Grant recipient at Textile Center in 2019-2020.
