10 am – 3 pm each day
Riley Kleve
Calling all yarn-fanatics! Most methods for dyeing wool with acid dyes require simmering in a vat of water. Learn low-water alternatives and solutions for acid dyeing: ice dye, multicolor dyepots, and watercolor yarn painting. Instructor Riley Kleve will bring boatloads of worsted and aran weight yarn to dye with. Students will leave with yarn ready to use in your next project! All levels welcome. Youth crafters ages 12 years and up are invited to join if accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the class.
A $50 materials fee is due to the instructor at the time of class, and includes all yarn and other supplies needed to dye multiple skeins of yarn.
This class is a part of our Fiber Art for All: Tributary festivities – celebrating Minnesota waterways and the ways that water inspires and supports fiber art techniques. Learn more about our Fiber Art for All Open House celebration on Feb 19 + 20, 2027 here!
