Paul O’Connor (1921- 2013), a renowned scientist, turned his attention to weaving in his later years. Veteran local weaver Paula Pfaff said O’Connor quickly became a standout in his new field and specialized in double weave, a particularly difficult pattern. “He had a national reputation,” Pfaff said.  He was creative. When Paul explored something, he explored it to the max. O’Connor was a longtime major contributor and supporter of Textile Center. This 40-piece exhibition honoring O’Connor’s memory and art features work on loan from friends and colleagues.
