Opening July 7, 2020 • Library Gallery
Midwest Special Services (MSS) and Textile Center collaborated in 2019 to offer sequential learning workshops in shibori and embroidery to MSS day program participants. Textile Center instructors Susan Leschke and Sandra Brick led this creative arts program, which utilized the specialized facilities at Textile Center, along with workshop space at MSS. Highlights from student work done during spring and fall classes are featured in a celebration of this partnership!
(The exhibition is made possible through support from Textile Center members, patrons, and donors. Regarding the classroom activities and making of the works of art, “this activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant to Midwest Special Services from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.”)
