Zoom / Distance Learning Info

• Zoom is a secure video communication platform used for many reasons, including meetings, casual digital meet-ups with friends, and in this case, distance learning!
• During each Kit Camp™ Zoom lesson, students will use a new kit to create a fiber art project, while learning about historical and modern-day applications of each technique. Each zoom lesson will last 1.5 hours. The last half hour of each class will be designated to asking and answering questions through an interactive session.
• On the last day of camp (Friday), students will gather with the instructor on Zoom for a final show-and-tell and have a celebration with their peers!

Scholarships

• Scholarship applications are available for those who would like to participate but are facing financial barriers.

Shipping & Curbside Pickup

You can get your Camp kits via curbside pickup or have your kits shipped!

If you select curbside pickup:

• You will be contacted when your kits are ready to be picked up. Curbside pickup hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 11 am – 3 pm.
• In the shopping cart under the Shipping section, select “KIT CAMP: NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.”

If you select shipping:

• Your kits will arrive in the mail approximately 7-10 days after registration, via USPS.
• Please note: During the week immediately prior to camp, curbside pickup will be the only kit delivery option.
• In the shopping cart under the Shipping section, select “KIT CAMP: NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.”

Cancellations and Refunds

• We occasionally have to cancel a class because we do not have enough students registered. We make every effort to let you know about any cancellations as soon as possible, before the class is scheduled to begin. If a camp is cancelled, full refunds will be issued. Please help us by registering early for your camp!
• Due to Zoom links being emailed and kits being mailed shortly after you register, refunds will not be issued. If you miss your teaching session, email us and we can provide a link to a recording of the session (after it has passed), and you can link to Zoom to watch it when you are able. 
• You can register online, or by calling Textile Center at 612-436-0464.

Why are there no refunds for Kit Camp?

We are sorry if you are not able to make the live teaching session scheduled for your Kit Camp. Because we mail the kits to you right after we process your registration, we will not be issuing refunds.  If you miss your teaching session, email us and we can provide a link to a recording of the session (after it has passed), and you can watch it when you are able.
