Minnesota Contemporary Quilters has an annual challenge for its members. This year’s challenge was “Turning Points” and present-ed the opportunity for each member to be inspired by a turning point that offered a personal or timely topic for creative expression. As artists, we each have our own style and motivations. Therefore, we select a theme that makes sense to the full membership. Last year’s theme was spot on; who knew that 2020 would be a year with so many “Turning Points” to consider?

This month’s show includes just a portion of the contributions by nearly two dozen members. The remaining works will be showcased in August before the “Turning Point” exhibit spends a year on display at various venues around the Twin Cities.

Minnesota Contemporary Quilters (MCQ) is an affiliated guild of the Textile Center. We provide monthly programs to our 100+ members, showcase a traveling exhibit and foster community through special events, retreats and small groups.
