Siddi Quilts Trunk Show with Khazana

Shop hand-pieced and quilted blankets made by Siddi women, in partnership with Khazana.

The Siddis are a marginalized community living in the state of Karnataka in Southern India, who originally descended from the Bantu tribe of East Africa. They are renowned throughout the world for their colorful, abstract quilts made from old clothing and repurposed scraps of textiles. Created in community by Siddi women, these quilts are heirloom objects that hold memories and histories embedded in old pieces of cloth.
