Help prepare our Textile Center’s Dye Garden beds for the upcoming planting season! Tasks include adding compost, spreading mulch, and removing dead plant material.
Volunteers who help maintain the dye garden do not need previous experience with gardening to participate. They will receive hands-on guidance from Hennepin County Master Gardener, Deb Reierson. Volunteer sessions for 2025 will be scheduled on a weekly basis, and include tasks like weeding, watering, identifying and removing invasive plant species, applying mulch, and harvesting dye plants periodically. This year, Textile Center welcomes youth volunteers ages 12-16 as well. Youth volunteers must be accompanied by an on-site adult.
