Textile Center is proud to present the work of 2024 McKnight Fiber Artist Fellows Amber Jensen and Rick Kagigebi.

Rick Kagigebi (Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe) is a blanket maker whose mural blankets, created as ceremonial gifts, are shaped by every aspect — from the sketch to the fabric selections, sewing, and tying — to hold storytelling significance.

Amber Jensen’s A History of the Heart is on view through April 5, 2025, and Rick Kagigebi’s Ceremony Blankets is on view through February 15, 2025.

After showing at Textile Center, Rick Kagigebi’s exhibition, Ceremony Blankets, will travel to the Gizhiigin Arts Incubator, February 21 – March 21, 2025. Join us there on March 18 for a reception for Rick, from 5 to 7 pm, at 701 East Jefferson Ave, Mahnomen, MN.

As always, our galleries are free and open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 am – 4 pm, and Thursday evenings until 7 pm. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
