NEW THIS YEAR: Make your new-to-you fashion finds true-to-you!

Get your new threads customized with onsite creative consultation + alterations with Minneapolis-based tailor and designer Abbie Kenyon! Abbie has over 10 years of professional experience, having spent several years in the costume shop at the Guthrie Theater, dressing performers on Broadway tours alongside stars including Beyoncé and P!nk, and working with Nordstrom and specialty shops across the Twin Cities.

At the Slow Fashion Sale, Abbie will provide on-the-spot consultation and measuring to discover how to make your new finds fit you and your style. Abbie will take garments home to alter in a roughly 2-week period following the Slow Fashion Sale, and she will be in touch when your garment is ready for pickup in Minneapolis.

DONATE:

Do you have garments you’ve made or mended that don’t quite fit or suit you anymore? Maybe pieces you just aren’t reaching for anymore? Consider us your matchmaker! We’ll find new homes for these items you’ve spent time and care creating.

We welcome donations of clothes made by you or someone you know, along with creatively tailored or mended clothing — from pants and shirts to scarves and hats.

Bring your donations to Textile Center on Donation Day: June 24, 2026, 10 am – 7 pm.

By donating items to the sale, you’ll:

  • Get access to a special shopping time before the sale opens to the public.
  • Get the opportunity to promote yourself as an artist or small business by adding your own tag on your donated garments. We’ll feature some items on our social media in advance of the sale!

OUR GOALS:

  • Facilitate an event that embraces reuse, upcycling, and creativity.
  • Nurture appreciation for wearable art by connecting homemade clothing with grateful new owners!
  • Raise funds to support Textile Center’s artistic and educational programs.
