Want to explore Tunisian crochet further? Learn how to work up a project in the round! Unlike traditional crochet, which is worked one stitch at a time, students will learn how to work in sections, producing the distinctive waffle-weave stitch with two contrasting colors. In class, students will get started on a reversible hat, learn how to make decreases to shape the crown, and learn how to utilize the Tunisian knit stitch to create a stretchy fabric that resembles a brioche stitch in knitting. Prior beginning Tunisian crochet experience or Cara’s Introduction to Tunisian Crochet class recommended but not required.
A materials fee of $15 is due to the instructor at the time of class and includes a Tunisian crochet hook, yarn, stitch markers, yarn needle. Students can choose from a variety of colors during the class.
