Riley Kleve
Get excited for spooky season in this new dyeing class for yarn lovers! Students will use acid dyes to dye two skeins of DK or fingering weight wool yarn in bewitching colors that glow under a blacklight. Resident color warlock, Riley Kleve, will prep a palette of colors for Halloween: radioactive green, shocking pink, moonlit yellow, twilight purple, and gothic black. Use them as-is, or experiment with mixing custom colors… if you dare!
At the close of class the ghouls at Textile Center will use a steam bath to set the colors in your yarn, rinse out any excess dye, and dry it in the moonlight. Please plan to return to Textile Center at a later date to pick up your project.
A $20 materials fee is due to the instructor at the time of class, and includes all supplies needed.
