Create a wearable sampler of three fresh leaf indigo dye techniques on 21×21” silk scarves. During this class, participants will extract vivid blue hues from Japanese Indigo plants by creating an icy immersion dye bath for solid shades of blue and resists, a waterless salt-rubbed leaf technique, and a hammer-pounded technique to create leaf printed fabric. As a bonus, students will also create designs using leftover leaf pulp, using every ounce of dye we can possibly extract!

Materials fee is $20, payable to the instructor at the time of class.
