Fix a hole in a sweater, sock, or favorite knitted item with basket-weave darning. This versatile, visible mending technique fills holes useing simple weaving. Students are welcome to bring an item in need of repair. A variety of yarn and other mending supplies will be provided. Beginners welcome, no former sewing experience required for this class.
Instructor Bio:
Lily Sevilla (she/her) is an experienced mender who specializes in zipper repair and darning. She has repaired thousands of items of clothing and gear through her work with the Repair Lair and ReUse Minnesota. Lily finds repair to be both creative outlet and rewarding practice that keep loved items in use.
