From ancient Assyria to American living rooms of the 1970s, macramé has been a popular form of knotting. In this beginner-friendly introductory workshop, learn the art of macramé by creating a custom plant hanger for your home. Learn three essential macramé knots and how to personalize your plant hanger to bring greenery and artistry into your space. All levels welcome.
Materials fee is $10, payable to instructor at the time of class, and includes all supplies needed to make one plant hanger.
Instructor Bio:
Haley Harnagel (she/her) is a fiber artist located in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. She started her adventure into fiber arts in 2019 with macramé and branched into tapestry weaving in 2020. Haley started teaching macramé and tapestry weaving in 2021 and completed a large-scale community project called Intertwining Stories: A Macro Macramé Project that focused on bringing the community together after the pandemic. lifeafteraverage.com
