Take your felting skills to the next level and create posable needle felted figures and flowers! This intermediate class explores the basics of bendable figures, using the techniques of wire wrapping and needle felting to bring movement to your felted forms. Open to students who already have basic needle felting skills or who have taken another introductory needle felting class at Textile Center.

Instructor Bio:

Kaylyn Gerenz (she/her) is an educator and artist in St. Paul, MN, who started needle felting over a decade ago. She uses fiber as a main element in her professional artwork to communicate the urgency to document memories and history, and continues to explore the idea of flesh and fabric as evocative containers. She recently received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she taught a visual culture course for two years. kaylyngerenz.com
