Create beautiful off-loom hand weaves through wrapping yarns onto craft wood and found objects. Explore color, texture, and pattern by wrapping and hand-weaving one-of-a-kind designs using yarn from your stash and repurposed thread waste. All levels welcome. Note: Students may be required to sit for long periods of time and simultaneously hold an object with one hand and wrap yarns with the other.

Instructor Bio:
Rita Chuk-Petroskas (she/her) is a fiber artist with a background in textile design, and I enjoy working with a variety of techniques including weaving, macramé, embroidery, and crochet. While much of my work is self-taught, I’ve also spent years learning through many classes and workshops. A favorite way to bring it all together is by incorporating recycled and found materials into my embroidery, often combining them with the thread and yarn stashes I’ve collected over the years. It allows me to make work that is unique, personal and sustainable. @ritabooshop
