Lorraine Teigland
Join this special lecture-style workshop to move beyond the “How To” of pattern-making to understand the “Why.” With a focus on sleeve drafting, gain insight into what makes a sleeve fit well and also feel comfortable. Learn how to draft free-hand a sleeve cap from dimensions which are both accurate and meaningful. Learn the basic anatomy of a sleeve draft, the various factors affecting the shape of a sleeve cap, and the effects of the shape of a sleeve cap on fit, comfort, and function. Working in pairs, participants will take measurements and then custom-draft their own sleeve. Open to all students who have had some experience working with garment patterns.
Materials fee is $10 and is payable to the instructor at the time of class.
