Explore the art of macrame by interpreting natural forms and landscapes. Learn 3 basic macrame knots, cord manipulation, and how to make different variations of a square knot. Leave with a finished hanging and the confidence to experiment further with macrame at home. Open to all levels. Participants will need to lift their arms at shoulder height for sustained periods of time while creating their macrame hanging. 

Materials fee is $15, payable to the instructor at the time of class.

Instructor Bio:

Haley Harnagel (she/her) is a fiber artist located in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. She started her adventure into fiber arts in 2019 with macramé and branched into tapestry weaving in 2020. Haley started teaching macramé and tapestry weaving in 2021 and completed a large-scale community project called Intertwining Stories: A Macro Macramé Project that focused on bringing the community together after the pandemic. lifeafteraverage.com
