Keep weaving fresh and contemporary with this beginner-level, three-hour workshop. Develop basic weaving techniques to create your own collaged, sculptural woven artwork. The use of non-traditional hand-looms and hand-weaving techniques will be examined, including but not limited to plain weave, twill, and embroidery. Assemble your own looms to learn what it means to construct, deconstruct, and reconstruct weavings to communicate form, balance, and meaning. No experience is required or necessary. This is an entry level class for all levels. Students will have to assemble and hammer nails onto wood.
