American Sewing Guild – Minneapolis – St. Paul Chapter
Currently celebrating 45 years, Advancing Sewing as an Art and Life Skill
The American Sewing Guild- Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter is a part of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to people who believe sewing is a rewarding and creative activity. The Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter is one of the largest in the country and serves not only the Twin Cities, but greater Minnesota. The Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter is one of the largest chapters in the country and serves the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. Membership in the Guild is open to the public and welcomes sewists of all skill levels.
We organize a variety of educational workshops and lectures throughout the year. Events vary from garment fitting to quilting, accessory sewing, and more. ASG members contribute to the communities they serve by sewing a variety of garments, bags, and other items for the community in need. These items are sewn by individuals and Neighborhood Groups as part of our Sewing for Service initiatives.
The Chapter Advisory Board meets the first Monday of each month. Meeting times for our Neighborhood Groups vary by group and are usually scheduled once a month. Visitors are welcome and the first two meetings are free, so you can find a group that fits in with your interests.
