“She Persisted” t-shirt designed by Chelsea Brink, a freelance designer and art director based in Minneapolis. Tri-blend, size M-2XL, vintage black or vintage red, $35
Chelsea designed “She Persisted” as a downloadable tattoo design that raised over $4,000 for Women Winning, an organization that supports the election of pro-choice women of all political parties to all levels of public office. Chelsea then paired up with Cotton Bureau to print her design on shirts with profits going to National Women’s Law Center, an organization that works to protect and promote equality and opportunity for women and girls.
Chelsea created the design in response to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s attempt to silence Senator Elizabeth Warren after she tried to read a letter written over 30 years ago by Coretta Scott King that opposed the nomination of Jeff Sessions for federal judge. McConnell said of Warren, “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.”
