Withdrawal Policy for Digital Workshops
There are no refunds for Digital DEMONSTRATION classes.
This demonstration-style workshop is for dyers and surface designers who are interested in exploring the use of stitched resists to create pattern and texture on cloth. Hand and machine methods that create visual rhythm on cloth will be demonstrated. These methods can be used in hot or cold process dye pots, with synthetic or natural dyes, on any type of fabric. Consideration of how the different dye types, various fiber and weave constructions, and how the chosen method affects outcome will be covered. Common sewing tools and materials will be used in these demonstrations. Some previous experience dyeing cloth is recommended, as the focus will be on the resist processes and how they work with dyed cloth. Supplies are not required to register for this course.
