Calling all Anime fans! Create a knife pleated skirt with a v-shaped yoke, just like Sailor Moon. Choose any fabric you like and fashion your skirt with a special pattern provided by the instructor. Learn how to create pleats, fit your skirt, and install a zipper. We will discuss the optional bow and hip flares, but these may be left off the finished skirt. Open to beginning sewists ages 13 yrs and up who are comfortable operating a sewing machine. For participants under the age of 18 years, please sign this waiver during registration. Please indicate waist and hip measurements when registering – measure over snug fitting garment like bike shorts. Please do not send clothing size.
Materials fee is $10, payable to instructor at the start of class.

Instructor Bio:
Colleen Kahn (she/her) learned to sew as a child through 4-H and had the great luck to be mentored by dedicated and patient women. Colleen earned degrees in Clothing Design from College of St. Catherine and London College of Fashion. Over the years, she completed additional training and gained expertise in bridal, men’s tailoring, millinery, costume making, alterations, dyeing, surface design, and more. Colleen has spent many years sewing custom wedding and formal wear in the Twin Cities. Colleen is also the founder of Stitch Masters Sewing School.

Withdrawal Policy
If you need to withdraw from class and you send a withdrawal request at least 5 business days before the start of your workshop, you may receive a refund (minus a $25 processing fee). Alternatively, you may transfer your full tuition to another currently listed class or convert your full tuition into a tax-deductible donation to Textile Center.
We are unable to provide a refund or make a tuition transfer if your notice of withdrawal is received less than 5 business days before the start of your workshop, except in the case of illness or health risk (please see COVID-19 tuition transfer policy here). In this case, your tuition can be converted to a tax-deductible donation to Textile Center. We will be happy to provide you with a receipt for your donation if you request one.
