Love all the curved quilt designs you see, but aren’t sure how to tackle circular shapes? Join us to learn the basics of working with curved pieces while making a curved quilt top of your choice. Learn about different kinds of templates used by curved quilt designers such as paper, templastic, and acrylic. Practice marking fabric for templates and various methods of cutting out curved pieces. Learn the four major methods for sewing curved pieces. This is an Intermediate-level class: students must be familiar with a sewing machine and basic level sewing/quilting techniques. Students must bring a sewing machine, in good working condition, to class and be able to operate it with basic sewing ability.

Natalie Novacek (she/her) has been sewing and stitching since she was 5 years old. Between now and then, she has picked up cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, and quilting, You can see Natalie slinging fiber and fabric as an employee of Knit & Bolt, where she also teaches quilting classes for quilters at all experience levels.
