Polymer clay is brightly colored, oven-baked clay that lends itself to effects that look intricate but are accessible to beginners. Learn the basic principles of polymer clay: how to purchase, condition, store, and bake it. Explore several millefiori cane techniques – including spiral, bullseye, and kaleidoscope canes – to make colorful combinations of clay into tubes, and then slice to reveal the designs inside. Make an assortment of geometrically based bead and button shapes, and leave with your cane samples and the knowledge you need to embellish your own textile creations. Great for beginners!
Materials fee is $15, payable to instructor at the time of class.
