Discover freeform embroidery with thread and yarn! Experiment with 6 different embroidery stitches using various threads and fabric samples. Learn tips for planning and transferring designs. Come ready to experiment, have fun, and begin to develop your own personal embroidery style. You’ll leave with plenty of ideas to add unique stitching to your next project. All levels welcome! This class is open to teen crafters ages 12-15 yrs with an accompanying adult. Materials fee is $10 per participant, payable to the instructor at the time of class, and covers needles, fabric samples, and various threads.

Instructor Bio:
Tasha Miller Griffith (she/her) works at the intersection of sustainability, belonging, and textile craft. She has been drawn to threads of all kinds since she was very small, and she is always trying to figure out what makes things work. In her classes, she works to build a deep understanding of concepts through hands-on experimentation in a warm and inspiring environment. Tasha is the Education Director at Threaded Together, a nonprofit in her hometown of Flagstaff, AZ devoted to teaching textile arts skills. She also teaches nationally at folk schools and fiber arts events, and writes for magazines including Taproot and PLY. tashamillergriffith.com
