Mindful Stitching • February 9; Proof of Vaccination Required Upon Registration. Thank You!

, ,

Wednesday, February 9, 12 – 4:30 pm

Maddy Bartsch

If our hand stitching tells a story, what would your stitches say about you? Would they be long, linear and smooth? Or would they be short, staccato, and jumbled? When we slow down and give ourselves time to process the passage of time with handwork, there is grounding and insight into ourselves that we normally miss. Join us as we explore the benefits of mindful stitching, with an introduction to techniques commonly used in a stitching practice. Basic needlework skills like threading a needle and using a variety of stitches will be covered. No experience is necessary–this class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to introduce a mindful process into their creative practice. Students will choose from a variety of materials available to them for their first project, which will be inspired by items brought from home. Materials fee $15, payable to the instructor at the start of class.

This is an in-person class, which requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Click here to submit your proof of vaccination. Proof of vaccination must be received 3 days (72 hours) before class, or your registration is subject to cancellation with a full refund of your payment.
