Lu Ann Kinzer
ShopLu Ann Kimzer started making things at age 8. She was fascinated by her grandmother who could make anything, including brightly colored quilts. Lu Ann made her 1st quilt at age 12 and never stopped sewing. She learned to make clothes, studied tailoring and fashion. She made costumes for many in the Minnesota music scene and sold many of her original one of a kind clothing items for many years. In her own words she says, ” I think about making things in terms of function. It is important that things are well made and serve a purpose. Quilts, blankets and coats keep us warm in our cold winters. Hats and scarves protect us from the cold. Potholders protect us from burning our hands while we are preparing our food to sustain us.”.
Lu Ann upcycles and reuses some materials when making her products, in order to reduce waste entering our landfills.
