Create amazing pieces of artwork by harnessing your talent through fiber art! Learn four different fiber art techniques in a week, using our customized fiber art kits to create projects including: Yarn Painting, Wet Felted Keychain, Print and Repeat Bag, and Mad Lab. Meet with one of our skilled teaching artist during Monday – Friday Zoom sessions for live demos on each art project. Learn about the history and modern application of each fiber art technique, ask questions in a chatroom during each session and in live group sessions after the demos, and have a show & tell with your peers! With each registration, you will receive secure access to Zoom camp sessions, a link to our awesome online tutorials to use any time for project help, and two kits for each project — for a total of 8 kits delivered to you in the mail, postage included. Join us as we help you to create one-of-a-kind pieces of fiber art with a friend or loved one!

Recommended Ages: 7+
Schedule & Kits:
Monday: Yarn Painting – Using the traditional art form of Yarn Painting as inspiration, create your own yarn painting using vibrant colors of yarn and sticky board.
Tuesday: Wet Felted Keychain – Roll, tap, and squish the fluffiest little keychain! Layer different colors of loose wool roving and use different wet felting techniques to create a keychain that looks like a colorful geode.
Wednesday: Print and Repeat Bag – Printmaking is the process of making art on a material with ink or paint. Learn how to create a printing block (like a stamp) and use it to print a repeat pattern on a drawstring bag, perfect to hold your important belongings.
Thursday: Mad Lab – Design and create your own monster stuffed animal! Draw with dye transfer crayons and make your drawing 3D by sewing, stuffing and embellishing with many kind of fibers.
Friday: Show & Tell – Join together with your classmates to show off what you’ve made!
Materials: The kits come with all the tools and materials you will need except for an iron, ironing board, newspaper, bowl, scissors, and a pencil. Shipping and postage included. Parental supervision required for iron use.
